Chapel
Every week during the regular school year, children age 3-1/2 and older are welcome to attend chapel conducted by Trinity Episcopal Church clergy, usually our school chaplain, The Rev.
Kristina Maulden. A child's chapel attendance is never mandatory; rather it is at the discretion of the child's parent or guardian.

A typical chapel experience features a prayer, a song and a story. Chapel stories are presented in a specific order, beginning with Old Testament stories in the fall and New Testament stories later in the year.

“Our primary goal for chapel is for children to learn that God loves them,” says Pastor Kristi. “We read stories from the Bible and other sources that talk about love, sharing, and giving. We want all children to feel embraced by God and by whatever church community to which they belong. Our chapel time is for nurturing the spirit of every child and for encouraging a sense of wonder about the God who creates, redeems and sustains us all.”

Our Chaplain,
Pastor Kristi

Children's Morning Prayer

Lord, in the morning I start each day,
By taking a moment to bow and pray.
I start with thanks, and then give praise
For all your kind and loving ways.

Today if sunshine turns to rain,
If a dark cloud brings some pain,
I won't doubt or hide in fear
For you, my God, are always near.

I will travel where you lead;
I will help my friends in need.
Where you send me I will go;
With your help I'll learn and grow.

Hold my family in your hands,
As we follow your commands.
And I will keep you close in sight
Until I crawl in bed tonight.

Amen.
